LOOSE

LOOSE started out in 1997 as a music collective, a group for those seeking opportunities to gig, record and develop as musicians. After developing many projects, events and sessions in partnership with the Arts Development Officer Roy Jones, LOOSE become the owners of The Studio, an annexe venue to The Queens Hall.

Organisation Bio

LOOSE manages an independent community arts venue in an old Sunday school built in 1879. Equipped with projector and screen, full lighting rig, PA , stage and modular staging, recording studio, three rehearsal rooms and a gallery. Each rehearsal room has a vocal PA, guitar and bass amps, keys and drums.
LOOSE has been active since 1997, and registered as a non-profit company LBG in April 2008 (6566823) and a Registered Charity in July 2013 (1153066).

OUR AIMS: Removing Barriers to Participation in Music, Theatre, Arts, and Life…
Strengthening Community, Reducing Isolation, Improving Well-being.
Building skills, confidence, and increasing creative opportunities.
OUR VALUES: Equality, Diversity, Fairness.
 
Our current projects include Amplify, two music sessions per week for 11-25s including music tuition, band practice, recording and live gigs.
We also run the only Duke of Edinburgh Open Award in the borough, finding by The Rausing Trust and Halton Borough Council. 
We provide young people the chance to engage and complete their Bronze, Silver or Gold award free of charge.
We have a dedicated group of volunteers called The Studio Associate who support events, gigs and shows as well as maintain the venue and the garden spaces.
The venue is also home to several community groups and support services, including Rhythm Reaction Drumming, SPARC, Day Care Services SEND Samba Band, Cronton College Btec Music course and HBC Care Leavers Team.

Organisation Services

Provide venue facilities for organisations and groups 5 day a week plus:

Creative and Performance arts sessions (reviewed each season).
