Here you’ll be able to find instructional videos, lesson plans and resources to help you and your learners to create their own retro-style video games. Students will learn coding principles, developing and challenging their skills in IT, maths, problem-solving, graphic design and more.

Episode 1: Coding Retro Avoid Games
In this video, Mako Create will be helping you to create an avoidance game, where you will control your hero to avoid being caught by an enemy. During this video, Mako Create will be explaining how to use block-based coding to create our game. Mako Create will also be showing you how to design and create our very own computer game characters.

During this video, Mako Create will be helping you design and create a Galaga style flying game. In this game, you will control your Plane/spaceship around the screen trying to avoid touching enemy planes, while shooting projectiles to destroy planes to earn points.
