    Winter DeLight: Lighting Up the Darkest Day takes Winter DeLight: Lighting Up the Darkest Day takes place on Sunday, 21st  December at @vpbutterflyhouseandgarden 

We’re pleased to be supporting this festive public event, which brings together music, performance and creative activity in one of Halton’s much-loved cultural assets.

The afternoon will feature performances from H’Arts & Voices Choir, Splinters Christmas Band and Anabella Rose, alongside a Lantern Parade and Thingumajig Theatre’s Ghost Caribou.

The event is free and open to all. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lanterns (no naked flames) and to embrace the festive spirit.

Cultivate Halton is proud to support Culture 26 in partnership with @haltonbc
    We’re excited to share that, in partnership with H We’re excited to share that, in partnership with Halton Borough Council, you’ll be able to find us at the new Culture 26 unit in Widnes Market — a pop-up space that will be active throughout 2026.

The unit is being developed as a place for everyone to discover what’s happening across the Year of Culture, and we’re proud to support HBC in shaping an engaging, welcoming hub for the whole community.

You can take a first look tomorrow, Friday 28th November, from 4–7pm as @widnesmarket launches its Christmas festivities. Come along for a sneak peek and find out more about what’s coming in 2026.

    Culture 26: Made in Halton Partnership Agreement: Culture 26: Made in Halton Partnership Agreement: Signed Tuesday, 18 November

Last week, members of the Cultivate Halton Steering Group formally signed the Culture 26: Made in Halton Partnership Agreement, a partnership between Cultivate Halton and Halton Borough Council to strengthen and champion culture across the borough.

One of the most exciting aspects of this agreement is the Culture 26 Access and Aspire grants. Members heard about these first; another reason to join the network.

•Aspire grants: up to £10,000. Fast turnaround – deadline Wednesday 10 December, 11.59pm. Louise is available to support you.
•Access grants: up to £500, available throughout the year while funds last.
